Our own little French Bistro

In a quintessential English town, down a cobbled lane, hides a reimagined neighbourhood bistro inspired by French traditions. Owners Jon & Jo, who own Coffee Culture Roastery & the Coffee and Soul Brand, were asked by the former malthouse cafe owners to take over the building and continue on the traditions of a local, quality food and drink spot in Ledbury. 

"We are excited to bring La Maison to Ledbury in Herefordshire. A comfortable, intimate breakfast, lunch and dinner experience. Join us for good food and conversation with family and friends" says Jon, co-owner of La Maison Bistro.

We are open from 9.30am to 4pm Monday to Saturday (closed Sunday). 

Also open for dinner and cocktails Friday & Saturday evening until 9pm. 

***Please note : If you are looking for The Malthouse Cafe I'm afraid the previous owners (Jim & Tracey) have retired since 2025 and the building and restaurant is now called La Maison Bistro.

Tonight Will Be Special

On Friday & Saturday evening we open the doors from 6pm for a 'menu du jour'.

An evening with La Maison - A celebration of France over candle light and dinner party vibes. A selection of courses provided by our head chef to satisfy all our guests. Courses range from 4 to 6 depending on the local food markets and what is in season. We sometimes have live music by local artists in the courtyard.
